Hello everyone!

I hope that everyone is well and thank you for providing me with a venue for my question.

I have participated in quite a few Darfur campaigns and I am happy to contribute in any way that I can but as a veteran I know that it is hard to fix something that you haven't seen or experienced yourself. Professionally, I am a maintenance engineer in Las Vegas. I am presented with a problem and I fix it. That is how I work. Though I wish it was as simple as a electrical short in a wall I do understand that the situation in Darfur is far more dynamic. The bottom line is that I would like to help on the ground in the refugee camps.

This may sound simple but my question is how does one go about organizing a trip to the refugee camps in Chad. Maybe I am making it more complicated then it actually is but I am assuming that its not like scheduling a summer vacation. I would really like to go and help at the ground level but I am a little unsure as to where to start.

If anyone could point me in the right direction or knows of group going in the near future that I could go with I would greatly appreciate it.

I am located in Portland, Oregon. Interested in participating in or organizing something similar to the Fast for Darfur action from last year. Any information, or interest?

Hi Najam!
There are a few other people in Portland OR that would love to do some actions in the coming days about Darfur - a tag team fast may be one of them. I will put you in touch with Cory, Diane, and Chann via email!

Our i-ACT team is about to head to the Darfur refugee camps. We had not planned on doing the 100 day tag team fast again - but if you wanted to help organize it. Let us know and we would help facilitate! Or a version there of.
